The Shortest Bridge Connecting Two Countries
The two islands are close together turned out
to be in two different regions. A large island
located in the territory of Canada who is a
small island located in the United States.
Interestingly the two islands are connected by
different countries throughout the 10-meter bridge. This is the smallest or shortest international bridge in the world.
'Couple' of the island is located near Rockport
called Zavikon. Two of the island, including the
'thousand islands' located in the Gulf of Saint
Lawrence River in Alexandria, the US-Canadian border.
Approval of these boundaries have been
agreed between the two countries-the U.S. and Canada, since 1793. But the two countries
decided not to divide the two islands on the
border. Approximately two thirds of the island
located in the territory of Canada, 1 / 3 it was in America. U.S. or Canada, consider their position equivalent in terms of ownership of the island.
But for this tour is the 'advantage' because of
the existence of two islands in terms of tourism is becoming a very unique and attractive 'sold'.
The tour guide wanted to bridge the world's
smallest known to international audiences.
Big island it claims as the Canadian built houses, while small islands who was part of America, serves as the backyard.
